THE FUNDAMENTAL PARTS OF THE VERB: THE INFINITIVE: The basic, not conjugated form of the verb. Example: estudiar (to study) THE ENDING: The last two letters of the infinitive. Example: estudiar THE STEM: What is left after taking, the ending from the infinitive. Example: estudi Lets begin conjugating! Follow these steps: STEP 1: Learn subject pronouns STEP 2: Learn terms and how to conjugate in English THE INFINITIVE - estudiar (to study) THE ENDING- estudiar THE STEM - estudi Conjugation is the process of changing the infinitive of the verb so that it agrees with its subject (who/whatever is doing the action). Ex: to speak I speak you speak he/she/it/one speaks we speak y'all speak they speak STEP 3: Conjugate In Spanish, we must change the verb to agree with the subject. All regular verbs are conjugated this way, meaning you only need to memorize the endings and you can use almost any -ar, -er and -ir verb correctly!
