Keep reading and the meaning may become clear Part 2: Writing Here are some tips to help you write more effectively in Spanish. DO · Try to write your ideas in Spanish. · Use the grammar and vocabulary that you know. · Use your imagination and creativity. · Put yourself in your reader’s place to determine if your writing is interesting. AVOID · Translating your ideas from English to Spanish. · Simply repeating what is in the textbook/notes or on a web page. · Using a dictionary until you have learned how to use foreign language dictionaries 1) Draft: Write a draft. 2) Revise: Read and check for the following Here are thing to look for: Is it well organized? Does it include all the information? Is the writing in the right tense? Is the spelling accurate? Do verbs agree with their subjects? Did you singular verbs with singular subjects and plural verbs with plural subjects? Did you use the correct form of the adjectives to describe yourself? Did you include the opening and the closing? Use complete sentence 3) Publish: Write the final copy, making any necessary changes. III. Boleto de Salida Write a 5-7 sentence paragraph (in English) on how you feel you did in midterm. Describe what you think you did well. Tell what you need more practice or help with. Analyze what you think you can work on or do better on. How will these 9 weeks be better? What can you do to ensure that it is?

1) To develop intercultural understanding by reflecting on differences and similarities between cultures. 2) To describe aspects of the target language culture(s). 3) To compare aspects of the target language culture(s) with similar aspects in the student's culture(s). 4) To develop language competence . Reminders:
1) The use of translators is an honor code violation. It will result in a zero with no possibility of making up the assignment. 2) If you copy your work from somebody else, that is CHEATING! You both will receive a zero, and no option to re do. Always do your work, be honest and try your best. 3) Once the Unit ends, late work will not be accepted.
