USOS: Agreement of Adjectives
In Spanish, adjectives have two specific rules that are very different from English: 1) Adjectives must agree with the gender and the number of the noun they describe. 2) Adjectives are generally placed after the noun. Adjectives must agree with (or match) the nouns in gender (masculine/feminine). If an adjective ends in -0, change it to -a to make it feminine If it ends in -dor, add an -a to make it feminine If it ends in -e or -ista, it is both masculine and feminine
Vocabulario: Now, tape or glue the vocabulary on the next available page.You are going to write down in English all the adjectives you have to learn. Individual practice: ¿Cómo eres tú? ¿Cómo es él o ella? Now, on your Interactive Notebook you are going to draw a picture of yourself, a picture of a guy and a picture of a girl (if you can not draw find a photo in a magazine); next you are going to describe them using 4 sentences for each one and at least 12 new adjectives from the lesson.
