Objectives: The purpose of the written assignment is to:

External- Written Assignment This component consists of intertextual reading linked to the core, followed by a written exercise of 300–400 words and a 100-150-word rationale. The subject of the assignment should have a specific focus, suitable for a piece of writing of 300–400 words in length. The content must be linked to one of the core topics and based on the information gathered from the three sources—such as articles, blogs and interviews. The length of each source must be 325–400 words. Core topics: Communication and media; Global issues , Social relationships
• What core topic will I address? • What theme within this core topic will I address? • What is the purpose of what I am writing? Why am I writing about this topic? For whom am I writing this? Who is my audience? • What type of text will I write (e.g. blog, diary, brochure, etc.)? Why have I chosen this type of text? Again, think about why you are writing about this topic and who your audience is. • What sources will I use (e.g. article, radio program, etc.)? Why did I choose these sources?
