There are only two sets of endings for regular imperfect verbs, one for -ar verbs and one for -er and -ir verbs. Also, there are only three irregular verbs in the imperfect. No stem-changes, no spelling-changes. New endings Imperfect: Irregulars verbs (only three) Below is a list of "trigger words" that indicate the use of the imperfect. These words mean "sometimes," "frequently," "always," "Mondays," etc. They imply continuing or habitual actions with no specific beginning or end.
Trigger words: De pequeño/De niño- as a child/when I was little todos los dias -every day cada noche - every night cada dia, mes, año -every day, month, year siempre -always nunca -never a veces -sometimes muchas veces -many times frecuentemente -frequently a menudo -often casi siempre -almost always todo el tiempo -all the time todos los lunes -every Monday todas las semanas -every week mientras-while When do we use to imperfect tense in Spanish? The imperfect is used to describe past habitual actions or to set the scene in the past, what a person “used to” do or “was” doing.
A. Mi cosas favoritas de pequeño/a: ¿Qué te encantaba hacer de pequeño? You will use the imperfect to describe the foods you liked to eat or what you liked to play or do when you were younger. You will create a presentation in Google Drive where you will write 12-14 sentences and include pictures. Examples: 1. Cuando tenía ocho años, me encantaba beber leche caliente antes de irme a la cama. 2. Cuando tenía cinco años, siempre comía helado. 3. Cuando era niña me gustaba jugar con muñecas. *Make sure you pay attention to your conjugations and spelling (imperfect). *Write about your favorite foods, toys and games from the ages of 2-12. *Write a total of 12-14 sentences in the imperfect tense. *Include ten pictures *Include at least four trigger words Be creative and have fun!
