Subject pronouns , the verb ser and adjectives Ser-To be Today we will learn how to conjugate and use the verb ser (to be) in the present tense. The verb ser is one of two verbs in Spanish that means “to be.” In English “to be” is an important verb and is used a lot (I am, you are, he is …). The same is true in Spanish, so it is important to learn the forms of the verb ser. Here are the conjugations again. ¡ESTUDIA! Descriptions You will either draw 3 pictures (stick figures are ok): one of yourself, one of a girl, and one of a boy (yo, ella, and él). For each subject, you will write 3 sentences to describe them using the verb ser and an adjective from the vocabulary. You will have 9 sentences and use 9 different adjectives. Example: Yo soy alta (I am tall). Él es bajo (He is short). Ella es paciente (She is patient). B. Worksheet We will continue to review subject pronouns, the verb ser and agreement of adjectives.. You may work with a partner at your table and use your notes to complete the practice activity. C. Famosos Describe the following famous people in Spanish. Use at least 3 adjectives for each sentence. Use your notes!
