III. Nouns and Articles Today we will learn gender and number of articles and nouns in Spanish. A noun is a word used to identify places, things, animals and people. ¿Listos chicos?? How to use masculine and feminine nouns: Gender of Nouns Remember in Spanish nouns have gender and they must agree in gender and number (singular or plural) with the article. Generally, you can make a masculine noun feminine by replacing the “o” with an "a," but there are a few exceptions:
END OF NOTES: LET'S GET READY TO CREATE A FOLDABLE! FOLDABLE: We will create a foldable to help study Spanish articles. You will need 1 sheet of construction paper, scissors, tape, and a glue stick. Follow my model: Step 1: Fold the piece of paper in half and cut the paper in half. Step 2: Fold the paper in half again so that you end up with four flaps like in the picture below. Step 3: Write the articles in Spanish on each of the flaps. Step 4: Write the articles in English underneath each flap. the= singular (masculine) the= singular (feminine) the = plural (masculine) the=plural (feminine) Step 5: Glue or tape the foldable to the student side.
