Final Exam format Today we will go over our final exam format and complete two practice assessments. 1) Writing (30 min) During the final you will apply vocabulary and grammar concepts we learned this semester. DO · Try to write your ideas in Spanish. · Use the grammar and vocabulary that you know. · Use your notes for examples of styles, format, and expressions in Spanish. · Use your imagination and creativity. · Put yourself in your reader’s place to determine if your writing is interesting. AVOID · Translating your ideas from English to Spanish. · Simply repeating what is in the textbook/notes or on a web page. · Using a dictionary until you have learned how to use foreign language dictionaries Writing: Escribir un mensaje electrónico Task: Write an E-mail in paragraph form about you in Spanish. Pre-write: Think and make a list of the following information about yourself
Write a first draft of you e-mail. Begin by introducing yourself: ¡Hola! Me llamo ….When you finished, end with Escríbeme pronto. (“Write me soon.”) Here are thing to look for: Revise: Read your E-mail and check for the following Is it well organized? Does it include all the information from the Pre-write list? Is the writing in the right tense? Is the spelling accurate? Do verbs agree with their subjects? Did you singular verbs with singular subjects and plural verbs with plural subjects? Did you use the correct form of the adjectives to describe yourself? Did you include the opening and the closing? Use complete sentence Publish: Write the final copy of you E-mail, making any necessary changes. 2) Listening Comprehension Act We will practice listening today after we watch the video you will answer some questions about it .
