Hoy es martes, el 28 de enero LA AGENDA I. Cuaderno Interactivo We will use Interactive Notebooks for note taking, vocabulary and practice activities. Today, we will set up your interactive notebook so you can be ready to use it. Our goal is to be organized for the year, prevent work from getting lost. ¿Listos chicos? Necesitan su cuaderno!
II. Syllabus/El sílabo.
Open your interactive notebook to page 1 and page 2. Now, we are ready to begin setting your interactive notebook. Page 2 The first thing that goes in is our course syllabus. Take a few minutes to tape down the course syllabus to page 2 using four pieces of tape in the sides as shown. I will show you an example so you know exactly where to put it. Page 1 Is where you will process the information. In other words, all activities will be on the left and notes on the right side. A. Syllabus scavenger hunt Instructions:
Today you will work independently in small groups in learning stations. There will be 8 stations and 3 students at each station at a time. You will be at each station for 20 minutes. After the time is up you will go to the next station (for example it your first stations was 1 then you go to 2). All your work will be on pages 3-8 in your INB. Label each station accordingly Empecemos: Lets get in groups. Number yourself Station 1 Nouns and Articles Review Review and take notes on gender and number of articles and nouns in Spanish. First: Include in your Notes: 1. Definite and indefinite articles 2. Nouns: gender, number & exceptions 3. Making nouns plural 4. You must be able to answer the following questions.
Complete the worksheet in your notebook. Station 2: Adjective and Noun Agreement : First: Review and take notes on adjectives and noun agreement in Spanish. Be sure to include the following information in your notes. Pay close attention to : 1. Nouns: gender, number & exceptions 2. Making adjectives & nouns plural 3. Ways to identify masculine or feminine nouns. 4. Adjectives you should pay special attention (they are exceptions to the rule) 5. Placement of adjectives in Spanish. Second: Complete the worksheet in your notebook. Station 3: Spanish Subject Pronouns First: Take Notes/Review subject pronouns in Spanish. Pay close attention to: 1. Formal vs informal 2. When to use formal and informal 3. Difference between vosotros and ustedes. Second: Complete practice activity in your notebook. Station 4: Verb Conjugation First: Complete the charts and steps for conjugating regular verbs in Spanish. Write all accent marks on subject pronouns or conjugation ending s. Second: Dice Game Roll the dice and according to the number on each, you conjugate a word for a subject. See station rules for more details. Station 5: Interrogativas - Question Words First: Write down the interrogatives (question words) and tell what they mean. Use the pictures to help you. Second: Read a story about a family in Spanish and answer the questions in English. Station 6: Writing - Create a Booklet You will write a short paragraph (at least 7 sentences) that responds to the following prompt: "Mi Amigo de la clase de español"
* Find a partner. Tell me:
¿Cómo se llama? ¿cuántos años tiene? ¿De dónde es? * Detail him or her, and also make use of physical and personality descriptors (alto, rubio, amable, cómico). You MUST include at least 4 personality treats and 3 physical descriptions. If you do not know your partner, get to know him/her!!! 5-7 Complete sentences en español.
